As if out of nowhere? Seemingly out of thin air? Then maybe you can relate to our name… We swim through a sea of vibrations every day of our lives. Some are obvious, and easy to perceive. Some are more subtle. Imagine the melody of a song that gives your spirits a boost every time you hear it. Or the smell of your favorite meal cooking. Or the brush of fingertips on your skin… These sensations are all vibrations. But– The bandwidths that our five senses are tuned to receive are just the tip of the iceberg.The band name and its acronym STAR stem from our shared belief that we can access a multitude of other frequencies than the five senses allow. You can think of yourself like a radio– You can tune into these other vibrations if you put up the right antennae, and tune in to the right channels. And when you choose to do so, information and inspiration come spontaneously, as if out of “thin air”. But you are actually picking up on other, very real, frequencies of vibration in the universe.STAR’s mission is to encourage people to live truthfully and courageously. We believe that in essence, we are all one; and, as you’ve probably heard said, “We’re not human beings having a spiritual experience, we’re spiritual beings having a human experience.” We’re here – in the band, and in this life – to evolve to higher levels, to realize our power, and to find our best selves. To search for our mission in this life – and then live out that mission. But at the same time, we’re here to have fun! So we flirt with lust, sex, and the fun & games of relationships. We explore our past and present angers and challenges, and we dance with quotidian, daily-life subjects. We do this with authentic music, powerful lyrics, and a growing community of friends who are aware of their own journey, and want to explore it and discuss it with us and with each other.Turn your radio on, and stay tuned.
