The Sound of Light

The relationship between sound and light has always been fascinating. Many believe there is a one to one relationship between them. Many believe there is not. Some believe sound and light are the same thing. Others believe they are very different. This current blog is dedicated to this subject. After this initial writing, I will contribute other thoughts along with you.
The relationship between light and sound is most intriguing because both are measured as frequencies in cycles per second. Sound is measured from the ten’s to the ten of thousand’s of cycles per second. Light manifests as billions of cycles per second. Therefore, one way of viewing the relationship between sound and light is to assume that light is speeded up sound, or conversely, that sound is slowed down light.
The ancient Hermetic Principle of “As Above, So Below” is often quoted in regard to the relationship between sound and light. Mathematically, if you speed up a sound’s frequency by doubling it forty times, you come up with a frequency that is within the parameters of light. Conversely, if you slow down light’s frequency forty times, you have a frequency within the parameters of sound. The frequency of 518.7 cycles per second, which creates a note somewhat near what we call a “C” for example, when speeded up in this manner, falls within the range of what we see as a green. Or, when slowed down, this greenish colored light that vibrates at approximately 570 billion cycles per second. becomes that note “C”–at least mathematically. Very dark red vibrates at a frequency of approximately 430 billion cycles per second, which when reduced by 40 octaves becomes 391.3 cycles per second., creating the note of “G”. The spectrum of violet goes from light violet at around 690 billion cycles per second (which equates to 627.8 cycles per second, creating a note somewhere around a Eb) to very dark violet at about 750 billion cycles per =second. (which when reduced 40 octaves manifests as 682.4 cycles per second, creating a note close to an F).
The question is, while the above information is mathematically correct, is it true? Is light sound and vice versa or is this relationship very different.
To my knowledge, no one has ever succeeded in turning a sound wave into a light color without the use of a computer or some other instrument which can easily effect the relationship between sound and light by having specific colors assigned to specific notes. This does not mean there is not a direct relationship between sound and light, but thus far, no one has figured out exactly what it is.
When I first became this journey into sound over 30 years ago, I also begin an examination of light and the relationship between the two. As I delved into the subject I found that many different people had expressed very different understandings about the relationship between light and sound. Within the last twenty years, the most common relationship found between musical notes and their colors matches the notes of one octave with the colors of the electromagnetic spectrum, starting with the note C. Red = C, orange = D, yellow = E, green = F, blue = G, indigo = A, and violet = B. This is a very different relationship than the octave doubling relationship discussed previously.
It may be that color and sound are two very different energy forms or it may be that there is a direct relationship of color to sound. But it may be that this relationship is much more complicated than simply taking a note and bringing it up 40 octaves to the bandwidth of light. It may be that as sound goes up the electromagnetic spectrum, that as it changes energy, the mathematics become more complicated and different than simple doubling. Many years ago, I met a visiting scientist at MIT who was working on the relationship of sound to color and had developed a formula 4 pages long on this subject. I don’t know whether this formula was correct, but it is another indication of the extraordinary possibilities inherent in relating color to sound.
Is there a direct one to one relationship between sound and light? Is it purely geometric (being based upon the doubling of one to another) or is there something else? Are sound and light similar but different energies that can synergistically work with each other-with any sound carrying any color and visa versa? Or does a specific sound have to be matched with a specific color in order for there to be an effect?
I know that many of you are using some relationship between sound and light in your healing work. I invite all who utilize some relationship between sound and light to contribute to this blog.

I think the primary premise of being on Earth is to learn how to act as loving, Compassionate, Creator beings that are functioning in the 3ed dimension.
We have all these forces of nature at our fingertips to play with. It is up to each individual to learn to activate their own spirituality as they see fit and to learn how to use these forces for the greatest good.
It really isn’t important how we got here or how the whole thing got started. The important thing is to live up to our highest potential as creators and spiritual beings in this thickness of reality.
This is a do it yourself reality. We should not wait for someone else, either in this dimension or another dimension to do it for us.
We as humans should realize we are all connected and we live in a bio feedback loop inside this incredible being of Love. All reality is alive, remember the “Golden Rule” Do unto others as you would have done unto you, it is another way of saying “What goes around comes around”. Love is the essence of your feedback loop.
Eternity is a long time. Create and learn to Live, Love, and Laugh.

Dear Jonathan,
You asked me about the validity of 528 as the frequency of DNA Repair and other attributes; and if there is any scientific data regarding this research.
Dr. Emoto and I learned about 528Hz frequency from Dr. Lee Lorenzen, who was a serious investigator and first commercial clustered water producer. Lee added 528Hz secretly into his Cat’s Claw (favorite) formula for DNA repair. The reason he did this, he told me, was because many leading genetic biochemists recognized 528Hz frequency (greenish-yellow color) to be the “miraculous” repair frequency for damaged DNA. Since then, much more information has come from many other reputable sources. David Schmidt from LIFEWAVE, a serious biophysics investigator, along with genius nutritional bioenery researcher and medical doctor Steve Haltiwanger, informed me that 528Hz was very near the center of the electromagnetic color spectrum AND central to the sound spectrum as well. Mathematician Marko Rodin put 528 on the blackboard in one of his main math matrices when I watched him lecture in Hawaii. He stated this matrix came from his study of simple mathematical patterns, in this case his “infinity pattern.” At a Tesla Tech conference in 2008, I witnessed several serious investigators presenting evidence for the double torroid structure of the universe, similar to Nassim Harramein’s work, that appeared to indicate 528Hz at the center of the energy fields and physical manifestations. I left seriously considering 528Hz (as above so below) at the HEART of the entire universe as it is exists at the center of the rainbow and people’s heart charkas.
I now theorize that 528Hz is closer to nature’s middle “C” than the 518 that you proposed in your article above. I suspect strongly that it represents the “Key to the house of David” in the Bible and carrier wave of LOVE, that King David tapped into. It can open doors that no man can close and close doors that no man can open since it is perhaps the strongest force in the universe, as artists and poets have written and sung. 528Hz may be the zero point energy, black hole interface, or event horizon where consciousness or phenomenology moves from the metaphysical realm into the physical, and perhaps back again between dimensions or parallel universes (i.e., LOVE is the heart of the universe.)
You wrote me that research indicates “the feeling of love will repair DNA, but this was not a frequency in cycles per second–rather, it was a feeling of love generated from the heart.”
I think if you consult with experts in biophysics, many will tell you that the heart’s loving intent generates a powerful energy. Some researchers are measuring this subtle vibration and assigning numbers, or field strengths, to LOVE. It is certainly within the realm of probability that 528Hz would be a carrier wave transmitting from the center of your heart, connecting you to the center of the musical-mathematical hydrosonically creative universe, and that prayer manifests through this carrier wave of vibrational energy called “LOVE.”
You and I are appreciative of anyone providing more information and scientific confirmation of 528Hz, and the rest of the original Solfeggio musical scale frequencies (396, 417, . . . , 639, 741, 852). As well as the other three members of the “Perfect Circle of Sound” that you used in Holy Harmony with such great success.
Finally, it should be noted that at the center of these six tones of the Solfeggio are 528 (MI) and 639 (FA). That is the “MIacle Family. Those numbers resolve to 6 and 9, or 69. Get it? The Yin/Yang symbol. Pulled closer together they form the 8, which is the structure of the universe.

Dear Barbara and Jim…if I can stretch a little “in the beginning”
there is a theory that the original starseed blueprint of humanity was placed within the crystals within the earth from various planetary civilizations. We as walking beings also are housed within a crystal being of light in our true essence. The magnificent original idea was for Earth to be a Peace base and galactic neutral zone.
Perhaps when we are at Peace here as a planetary civilization back to the original blueprint (which the present time suggests are being decoded) we will be in the place of absolute oneness within ourselves as full memory and re-membrance is linked, setting free within the holograph of our entire DNA connection and abilities?? Does this make sense in questioning what you discuss? Does anyone here feel totally connected to their Absolute Being?????

So the accurate measure as you describe it puts the volume of the kings chamber at 320 cubic cubits plus a tail or leader of .6 (a kind of mathematical device that can introduce/induce spiraling as opposed circling). This then suggests a possible reference back to the 320+ degrees of ancient circumnavigational tools (granted one is circumferential and one is volumetric). Nothing was left to accident in the design of the chambers. Not sure just how it relates, but the highest frequency flower essence is the iconic rose itself at 320 hz (and yes now we are talking physical measure on the one hand and vibrational on the other but these differences don’t necessarily dismiss the potentiality of a conscious relationship). Is the King’s chamber perceived as representational of the head of man (as in the Hebrew roshe, which is related in various ways to rose)?
P.S. The King’s Chamber volume is indeed approximately 328 cubic metres but it is 20 RC (length) x 10 RC (width) x 11.18 RC height = 2236 Royal Cubits. I’m sorry for adding to the confusion instead of providing clarification!

To Elise Re: The word plus the tone
Elise, thank you for illustrating your insights with such delicate imagery. Your note about singing the word “baby” (“baaaabeeee”) reminded me of a keen piece of information I received recently about the word in addition to the tone.
Please bear with me a moment. This will sound a little far afield even in this field. I have a duck that was divinely granted to accompany me for a while in my path. He knows more than I do. Can see angels that I cannot (I have to call a psychic friend to tell me who is here when he gets impatient over it). I have often noted how much attention he pays to the word “Hello”, giving it great honor (made me wonder if he’s reflecting back on a past life as a parrot, but no, that wasn’t it 😉 ).
Recently I received information to take a certain journey to an ancient place in the Mediterranean and the word “khere” came in big with it. I looked it up and it is ancient greek for “hello”. I conferred with a psychic and she confirmed that the ancients were sending me greeting. I followed this by noting that the word “hello” seems to hold some kind of significance, adding the effect it has on the duck (the look of the “master” comes over it). The pychic said that the word “hello” is a universal keyword in any language. It confers welcome, opening, honoring. It is more than we take for granted!
Surely most of us have seen the kinesiological demonstrations that show that certain words are negatively charged and reduce our vitality, steal our own strength when we use them (like cursing words). We realize of course that other words don’t do that. But it was news to me to discover that certain words actually elevate our vibrations. Hello is one of these. I have no doubt that Baby would be another of them. And note here, that it is the word itself, the intention it carries, not the tone we apply to it, which is additive and can further enhance (or detract from) the word. The word itself provides its own basis.

Love hearing about your incredible dome and studies! And once again following up in agreement, I often use religious and political demonizations as the flag for what I need to look more into rather than avoid! (As a corollary, I have found the criticisms of a detractor often the most direct and useful source of good information about the strong features of a person/place/thing (and this is especially fun and easy with the internet). The more demonized something is, very often the more promising it is.
I want to relate an experience to what you described experiencing with the vibrations under your dome. In a trip to Egypt with a group of sound healers and toners this year, one of many many incredible experiences produced an amazing physical reaction where after just a few minutes of toning my body was in complete post-adrenalin shake-down. It felt just like at the completion of a race or after having responded to an emergency situation, body shaking and flush with “exertion”. All that had happened, though, was that I had held a specifically resonant tone at a certain cubby in one of the temples together with another person. The act of holding the tone in its perfect, most powerful resonance was all-consuming, as it required a uniquely soft, moderated, sustained breath and had the tiniest “margin of error” and had to be harmonized with the other person, each of us complicitly feeling our way through it during the vocalization. I had no idea how much concentration that could take! We just went with the experience. The vibes ran through us as they would water (not an insignificant statement as that is what we are). But at the completion of just a few minutes (the length of a pop-song more or less) our bodies felt physically like we had just completed a full circuit at the gym. I thought WOW! Just consider how effective this would be for conditioning! Being such an unexpected encounter, we have no information on what the tone was and that detail is probably not what is important so much as adding to what we perceive as the capabilities of sound/vibration. The materials and shapes of the architecture of temples in Egypt were carefully designed to produce such effects (and there are places formed by the divine hand of nature for similar purposes). Would be interesting to try bringing some objects of certain resonant qualities into your dome to see what harmonic/vibrational effects can be studied.

Regarding Joseph Mark Cohen’s remarks, the prime resonant frequency of the King’s Chamber is actually 121 Hz, not 256 Hz although there is probably a strong mode at double the prime, i.e. 242 Hz. I can vouch for the 121 Hz frequency because I did the acoustics experiment myself with a Klark Teknik audio analyser in 1997.
The volume of the King’s Chamber is approximately 328.4 cubic metres, which equates to around 320.6 Royal Cubits, not 256 Royal Cubits as suggested. I don’t know where the incorrect data came from that Joseph cited but I feel it’s important to set the record straight so that people don’t go off on a wrong track and begin to draw wrong conclusions.
Regarding Mary Sol Gonzalez Sterling’s comments, relating to why humans evolved without being able to sense the frequencies of sound and light enjoyed by other creatures, I would like to offer the following viewpoint. We as humans evolved in a different direction, Nature granted us the most powerful brain on Earth. With it we can create instruments that surpass the sensory apparatus of every creature on Earth. I will always be grateful that I was born a human rather than, say, a dolphin.
Speaking of dolphins, I would like to share with everyone that I am privileged to be working with a team of scientists in Florida who are attempting to decode dolphin language. We are using the CymaScope to make the dolphin sounds visible for the first time, each dolphin word creating a unique CymaGlyph (pattern of sound.) We hope to be able to share our results within the next few weeks.

Hello everyone. In response to return of heightened senses, the sound of silence and the whole array of great sharings and teachings..I have a couple of stories if you care to sit by the fire with me…
I am very fortunate to be living in a pure natural area where the earth mother houses the crystals and indeed this offers opportunity to live in a more intensified field of existence in general – whatever the focus – great training in staying with Right Thinking!
Driving is mostly tree lined and mellow. I enjoy very much toning to the trees 100 ft tall ponderosa pines and oaks as I take the 35 miles drive into city limits. As one gets closer to city limits and the roadways change to more chaos – the animals react. Recently, I experienced a telepathic communication with a deer. I sensed the panic first, then spotted her on the opposite side figidity to cross…my mind spoke to her energetics somehow and said – STOP! wait for OK. She danced in panic but did not go into the roadway. When I said OK she crossed freely right in front of my car and really did look into the windshield. I heard a whispered “thank you” as she safely made her goal.
We often have fox barking through the forest at dusk – that magical doorway time when one can glimpse between the cracks of the worlds – or enter. Walking one evening a lovely midsize red fox and I met face to face. We passed each other softly then both stopped and turned to look back at each other from a safer distance. I started to sing…I have noticed that the sounding of baaaabeeee softly seems to bring response sometimes. She sat down and continued to look at me as I sang softly for 5 minutes or so. Then with a lightness of foot and no fear energy at all – she danced off.
I love to meditate in the sounds of multiple birds singing. Breathing in the orchestra of birdsong into my heartspace brings the ears of the heart alive. I listenfor one song to call my attention…once on the trail of a special song connection one can than ask ‘from where does this bird sing”?
I work within the realms of spirit in my sound healing. This could be called a shamanic path, I call it Love. I live for moments like this…the sense of oneness in energetic cosmos…we are in everything…everything is in us.
We have many waterways here as well. I know that when I go to the waters to tone…the intention of peace and cleansing is carried along those waterways. I know that when I intention a water blessing…it happens.
I love to think on the truth that many others are toning waters and we all mingle with the most beautiful intentions.

I stretch my ears at night – far I stretch. With so many stories and legends of what is underground around here – crystal caves, skyscraper size crystals, underground hollow earth Sirian base stations…blue people.
what things to think on and reach for in the sleeplessness of the singing crystals! Sometimes I hear a low hum deep in the Earth Mother..other times I a high pitch songwave. It is all a prayer and mystery to decode.

Perhaps we are one half of a two sphere system. Living on one side or inside of a sphere and we are trying to connect or reconnect to another spherical creation on the other side.

I have to breathe in order to emit sound.
Following “As above, so below…,” sound comes from breath.
To create sound–what does sound look like? What does breath look like?
Have you ever breathed onto a really cold window and looked at the crystalline patterns? It’s the water pattern that shows. I have read that water is a condensation of air. Air is breathed.
Following Masaru Emoto’s work, intent is all-important.
I am laying out patterns onto grids to be played with crystal quartz singing bowls. I know I am setting 2-D boundaries, but it’s the best I have so far. I yet can’t seem to wrap my mind around 3-D graphing to be played out(let alone 4-D). Also, I am working out math and measurements to have hollow glass (maybe wood) spheres made with relative numbers of patterns of holes to be played in spherical motions–my attempt at 3-dimensional sound.
My instruction in music and physics amounts to self-study. I fare well with math and art. I see in pictures, then start at the drawing board.
My grandpa is a carpenter. When I was little, he helped me to bring my ideas to life, to bring life out of wood. Sometimes the pieces fit together, sometimes not. His advise:
“If you can’t fit it together in the end, try glue, lots of glue if you need it. You can always wipe the extra off your fingers on the inside of your pocket-then you don’t waste a rag, you don’t get yelled at, and you can keep trying until you get it right.”

Lesley Turner’s question, “What about holograms?” The vibrations from two light sources create the intersections of the circles, at a certain angle to create a three dimensional imitation of a real object. Years ago, I made a hologram at MIT and wondered if it could be done with sound.
The vibrations from two sound sources create visual geometries from a generating frequency in a Lambdoma Matrix field. One sound source is the drone of the generating audible frequency and the other sound sources are the angled ratios of each of the 256 angles in the field. It would be wondrous to create 3-D forms from harmonic sounds by aiming the sounds at a real object and comparing results.
so how does this colour healing work? what it do for emotional and spiritalual phsyicalically when working young people in counselling work?
What is the benefits to my well being when i my drawned and need to be healed or restored. Is there way you can send distant healing, in ones DNA to change it ,and does this work? thats all for now
Yes Tish, I know that we are changing very rapidly and a quantum jump means just that, seeing ultraviolet light and hearing or sensing ultrasound, which will create more transparent and authentic communication between all human beings. All of this comes from the pineal gland, which needs to be awaken by intense light, sungazing or intense darkness, to activate the 2million rods in the eyes, that we are not using.
It is my theory that since immemorial times the healing power of the sun and of the pineal gland has been hidden from us by priests into patriarchal religions. And slowly we have made the sun our enemy for health, when it is our ally. I call this the CONSPIRACY OF LIGHT. This is coming to an end soon.
I am studying the effects of harmonics from a drum under a large Phi dome, 5 meters diameter, that I have in my house in southern east Spain. At times it sounds like bells, other times like whales singing. It is amazing the tingling sensation throughout the whole body after a session. I also study the Harmonic Signature in human voice, which defines the special tone of a persons voice, in men between 3 to 7 khz and in women between 4 to 8khz, but some persons have still high peaks up to 10 or 11 khz.
I also have huge special silica prisms that project huge spectral rainbows, that leave pass through ultraviolet light to 300 nanometers. When projected over the body one can feel the place of ultraviolet, but not see it. It is doing amazing healing effects.

To MarySol Re: Using technologies vs Human sense
I’d like to chime in with support for your assertions. Humans both are now and will be capable of greater sensory perception and activity. Much as we have abandoned the keen-ness of our regular senses of smell, sight, hearing, feeling, we also abandoned a number of other senses, sixth and more along the course of human experience. With training and sensitizing we can recover those senses. In our future development we won’t have to work so hard at the recovery of these capabilities.
I’d like to dovetail with the Ringing the very subject I raised just before your post, about the Ringing of the Rivers ceremony. The very vortex we create with the tones of the tuning forks can be created just with our thoughts. The thing is that while some of us have that understanding and skill right now, not all do. Technologies at their best are here to teach and to aid. The tuning forks allow us to create the energetic vortex reliably while each participant learns at their own speed how to do things like this for themselves without the aid of any tool.
The key is to develop and use tools to teach, learn re-learn and aid, and not to substitute, lose or destroy. Jonathan of course has made this point numerous times, as have many speakers and authors about sound healing therapies and technologies. The difference in this creative/destructive application and adaptation is our own humanity, heart and intent, both each and all together. There are no security measures. There aren’t meant to be. Guarantees themselves are founded on a basis of fear. Becoming truly free is to have the choice and to make it.
Our technologies — whether, say, a reed is used to create a instrument for sound or paper for writing or fiber for textiles or biofuel for propulsion or extracts for healing — need to be viewed as currently convenient and ultimately disposable!
Addition and Correction to Ringing of the Rivers
Addition:
After completing the vortex in the Ringing of the Rivers ceremony, our group also — with Spirit concordance — “packaged” the 13th Chord tones into the crystals that we were charging with these energetics. Judy and colleagues discovered that the 13th Chord neutralizes West Nile virus which of course uses waterways as a primary vector. Without playing into the fear-factor side of disease generation and epidemiology, those of you who have the 13th Chord pairs may want to treat water with these tones (whether you do cleansing of waterways or not).
Correction:
The vortex at the first ceremony we did was of rainbow filaments; the second one was silver (of course, that leads us to anticipate something gold at the third, but you know how Spirit loves to turn us on our heads, so no expectations really… and no date yet either).
Aside:
Just for added interest for ye mystics, the modification from 18 tones to 9 in the Ringing ceremony was accomplished based on the principles of mirroring, which is a technique Da Vinci used to encode intelligence in his paintings. Judy happens to be one of the leading researchers and decoders of Da Vinci’s work as well, presenting alongside Giovanni Paulo.

Lets give a thought to the possible existence of Invisible sound and silent light. Ultrasound silence versus invisible ultraviolet light.
The connection of sound to light is shown to us through dolphins, they see the inside of matter using ultrasound. Then, maybe we could come to understand that one could hear ultraviolet light, or it is a sensation similar to how we feel infrared as heat in our skin. Then we also feel ultraviolet light as a crispy sensation in our skin, as when we are out in the sun. Then light is invisible for us in the ultraviolet range and sound is not audible for us in the ultrasound range. Why did humans evolution left out fully experiencing and using these special vibratory sensations? When other animals seem to be as natural with their sight related to sound, in those higher ranges of vibration?. Maybe we need to evolve to understand how to use these senses from a different perspective than animals, that do not shape their world around them like we do. And maybe soon we evolve our senses to perceive from light to ultraviolet light, from sound to ultrasound, at the same time as we enter a nanoworld in technology, that offers to shape shift matter into anything we want. Another possible future is that we might perceive these faster vibrations with our senses, instead of needing more technology. Do you think that mobile phones are substituting telepathy, and machines are substituting telekinesis? Are we creating all of this technology to enhance or substitute these higher senses attributes? Instead our brain and mind was divided into two halves that brought more reason and logic to shape matter to a smallest particle inside all infinite void. Nanotechnology uses light switches to change the structure of matter morphing it with photexcitation. Human intelligent thought and creative capacity is shaping matter now to the tiniest of particles and is what makes us more evolved from animals, as we are changing the face of Earth Gaia, while the animals have more evolved senses to help them survive in their surroundings with out shaping it.
Have you all wondered as we evolve what happened to ignore these perceptions of space time in time space, related to intelligence, if other species evolved with a complete knowledge on how to use those silent and invisible vibrations of the world around us.
Then if another special difference between humans and other animal species is our capacity of thoughts. A Thought is as a photon of light, it comes out of nowhere, it cannot be stored or pinned down in time nor in space, the same as light it has no mass, no volume. Both are born beyond time and space, where nature controls all processes in the void which is full of creative potential and intelligence. Maybe we are trying to understand that light is silent and sound is invisible. Nanotechnology will help us understand further how thoughts can shape matter, the same as light and sound change and shape matter.
I hope this brings some interest for us as a new vision of humanity is emerging.

Ringing of the Rivers with the Holy Harmony forks
I just wanted to let fans and users of Jonathan Goldman’s tools know that there is a new protocol available for restoring and renergizing rivers and waterbodies using the 9-tone solfeggio set of tuning forks. The original protocol given to Judy Lynne Cole for her “Ringing of the Rivers” project to restore and connect the waterways worldwide is based on the full 18-tone solfeggio scale. Judy and I spent the time to rework the protocol for just 9 tones, which means the ceremony can be done with the Holy Harmony set. Moreover, the ceremonies I was called upon to do involved just three people rather than a large group, so that too makes it more available to people to perform.
The ringing ceremony uses sound and sacred geometry to generate a certain type of vortex in 13 layers of clockwise and count-clockwise motion. It takes about an hour to go through it all. I have done two and the seer of the group described an enormous presence of multitudes of spirits from many different realms, including the angels, archangels, silver and gold beings, the emerald beings from which Thoth comes, pink Mer beings, archetypes from the pantheons, fairies and elementals, and all kinds of beings. She said with the toning of each frequency, the different beings would intensify their glow in resonance. There was tremendous joy among the gathering and deep gratitude and graciousness. At the second event, we were even honored by the presence of Anubis, one of the least you’d think of being part of a glorious celebration. Our seer saw the vortex being constructed of filaments of light as we proceeded. The first one we did at the headwaters of the Russian River (the one that feeds California’s famous wine region… before the whole state became a wine region, that is) came out as silver. The second one at the Laguna de Santa Rosa watershed that feeds the Russian River came out in rainbow hues. We are anxious to see the third of the series, but it is not yet scheduled. In the meantime, I am to take some of the crystals that were charged during these ceremonies to Peru (9 to go into each waterbody).
It is unfortunate that Judy does not have a website up for the Ringing of the Rivers project, but she does speak of it at every public presentation and have flyers for it. The goal is to connect all the waterways of the world in a web of these energetic vortices, each strengthening the others as they are propagated with human heart and intention. These are preceded by ritual blessing, calling in the directions, smudging — affecting the sense of smell. Power animal and teacher helpers show up.

I think to add a dash of Hebrew harmonic theory to the mix. Barbara, that 16 x16 magical number 256 is ayin-ayin or ayin squared, the Eye that sees transdimensionally. It is the gematria of the Hebrew word Devarim, things that have substance & coherence. It appears the Circlemakers are fond of this number ( see the June 1996 Alton Barnes formation) as well as Resonance Masters who fashioned the Giza Chamber of the Resurrection (aka King’s Chamber) which vibrates at 256 cycles per second in a spacial volume of 256 cubits. Kabbalah teachings suggest that harmonic sonics are a 7th dimension tool of Creation. Another 256 phrase is M’Ayin Elohim from the Eye ( Vacuum/Plenum Emptiness/Fullness Implicate/Explicate) of the Co-Creators. Light is bi-fold: the Infinite Light without Threshold ( Or Ayn Soph) & the chromatic light we can see.. In my sound healing work, I have found that a harmonically rich plenum of vocal vowel harmonics provides a much richer band of healing frequencies for bio-resonance than the offering of any pure note or frequency. And drinking a colour may be more bio-available than a colour gel broadcast. Astronomical green laser light is worth exploring on major acupoints. I find the concept of harmony and resonance an important part of understanding how we may perceive color or light as sound. As a musician/singer I have experienced through relating musically with others that new colors/dimensions occur depending on the combination of beings creating the sounds. Even within the standard musical understanding of how these harmonies should be operating it appears that the sound “color tones” as they are often referred to in music can change within the context of the emotions of the musician and the combination of musicians. So we deal with not only the vibrations of the music but the vibrations of the individual in that moment in time. That is very key, because we have to take into account that the vibrations change within time and how that may affect the harmonic outcome. The colors that are perceived, from my point of view, are not visual but some inner seeing and that can be perceived differently , again, depending on the combination of vibrations/sounds that are occurring in that moment.
I think of it in more simple terms as when I improvise. When I am am doing that as a solo instrument I see and hear a certain set of vibrations but when I include another instrument it changes, then add more and it changes again. So are we trying to define this idea of what the colors are too systematically? Or is this one of those situations where we have to take in account that the perception of light/color changes when it meets another vibration.
I think of this in terms of people in every day life too. We are vibrating and resonating a certain way until we come in contact with another being. And although we are made of the same “stuff” it is in the combination of these frequencies that we alter and become a new frequency. 1+1 = 2
Certainly not a scientific statement but just an observation from my own experiences. I am constantly reminded in my own work about the significance of how sound effects us on such deep and profound levels.

About Brown
In all the discussion about vibrational color therapy and theory I have read and heard I cannot recall the discussion of brown. In older psychology texts of course there is the general conception that ‘brown is depressing” and in commerical application that “brown is neutral or calming”. There is general social acknowledgement of brown as “earthy”, “grounding” and “natural”. And we all know that the mixing of opposite or all color pigments (not light) produces brown. This is just the range pop-culture basics of brown. But what I’d like to focus on is more in regard to color therapy. It doesn’t factor into Dinshah wheels, chakra charts, you name it. Vibrational color therapy, and sound therapy that intends to produce or enhance the auric or chakra colors focuses on rainbow colorations. How does the range of brown — from lightest to darkest — relate to healing practice?
A couple months ago I got a vision that is one of those beyond my current level of comprehension, one of those visions that is meant to instigate search (wish they would keep to a certain discipline or genre so I could get somewhere with each of them, but oh well). I want to share it with you to see what insights you might be able to provide (or at least to share with you the same stimulus of another direction of thought about color).
What I was shown was that in the “creation” of color in our existence, there was brown before all other color, and that colors prismatically came from this brownness. The brown ranged from the lightest kind of pre-sunrise glow to deep darkness. From this came the emanation of indigo blue, again ranging from lightest to darkest hues (the lightest and darkest seem to be the same in any scale). This blue was the very same blue that glows in the crystalline “bions” (using the original Orgonomic definition of the word by Wilhelm Reich), the geometric particles that tissue decays into in death and that also generate cellular life through vortexial motion. It was the blue that we understand as the life-force, of the “higher” realms, etc. I was so surprised to see this illustration of brown before blue, and also of brown prismatically separated rather than pure white as we nearly exclusively conceive.
Since then I have on occasion pondered brown. I once was shown the evolution of a planet and how after the red-black-gold-and-white of the volatile forces the surface is of brown material awaiting the greening of what we think of as life (for those who are already concerned with what came first, brown or red, that’s just part of the entire question — the volatile forces were possibly of “original” light rather than the reflected light-color of pigment/material… and also, this planet I was seeing was not the “first” planet ever, so light/color already existed before the creation I was being shown). Anything left under the sun decays to browns. The dirt/sand of the surface is in range of browns. Even our skins are in the range of browns (not considering the tint of sunburn and blood flowing beneath — consider a corpse, or tissue without additive coloration from blood or other source).
Within the brown pigment is all color. Maybe because of that fact we can just focus on rainbow color, the color of the light range in performing healing therapy. Can anyone else shed some unique insight on brown and its inclusion/exclusion or role in healing therapies and the being of human beings?

RE: Math and Octavization
We are too bound to simplify the divine in technology and must remember that at the technological level of understanding and defining we have delved into the complex and encumbered it. Thus I want to point out that a weakness in “perfecting” computations of frequencies is in the act of “octavizing” to obtain relationships to the frequency being directly referenced. Octavization is a simplified construct of doubling/halving. While it looks like “perfection” and wholeness, it isn’t, it is just simplification. Perfection is slightly more complex and relational, and in itself has a teeny bit “missing” that ironically is what fuels “life”, that is, action, motion, aliveness. That teeny missing bit causes attraction or propulsion or whatever term you wish to apply to the inducement of activity. Without it there is not even vibration (eeps!)
What I am referring to is what Don Estes has succintly described as the Great Diesis, the 125:128 difference in natural scales. Below I am pasting an excerpt from his website. Anytime we seek to define ranges of vibration — be it light, color, sound, thought, whatever — in “perfection” we need to account for this true minute difference, and to realize that all is relative to the original point of reference. Simple octavizations, the more they are compounded, lose accuracy. While it is adequate for much of what we are attempting to accomplish or understand, we need to ask in our particular application or study whether it needs to be considered. Thus I bring this back into the ring for consideration as appropriate.

The Great Diesis ™ is a ratio that bridges the gap between the physical and spiritual worlds…illustrates the relationship between relative diversity and absolute unity…and resolves the difference between actual and potential reality. In human experience, this ratio manifests any time there is an attempt to “square the circle”…a geometrical function that defines the relationship between imperfect and perfect forms like squares and circles of equal volume. There is a slight difference between these two worlds that is best expressed in music theory.
Western music scales are conveniently “tempered” or stretched to make the octave double in frequency with each progression for ease of use, but the natural octave of the Universal Rhythm does not exactly do so…it comes up short by a small fraction known in music theory as the Great Diesis…a tiny ratio mathematically expressed as 125:128. Spreading this slight difference across the twelve notes of the equal temperament scale stretches them just enough to make the octave double in frequency so that transposition from one octave to the next on a musical instrument is made easy.
As a time-based ratio, it allows for smooth transition between the temporal and spectral domains and resolves differentials between analog and digital vector processing. While human action takes place in the temporal domain of relative time, all possible outcomes of such action are concealed within the spectral domain of frequency or relative vibration. The Great Diesis facilitates transition between these two domains and provides a foundation for the various products and services we offer around the world.
Converted to frequency, this ratio provides a universal fundamental for all periodic wave phenomenon such as sound. In other words, it is a number that ties us all together as whole number ratios of the universal rhythm and allows therapies based on enhancing what’s right about an individual rather than fixing what’s wrong.
The roots of the word Diesis come from both Greek and Latin and means…”to let go, send through, or release”. Composers have traditionally used the double dagger symbol to score it in music notation because of its implication of release of tension. Our use of it implies our desire to help others release the tension created in their lives because things don’t always come together like they want…to resolve the differences between their actual and potential selves…and to send through or stretch themselves to higher and more complex levels of order, unity, and purity, the essence of holiness.
In science we use and observe light to identify a sample’s chemical composition. When we look above to the sky with a clear view at brilliant stars, we see more than a twinkle, but also flashes of different visible spectral light-color as certain elements in a star’s chemical composition spontaneously combusts.
When we look at someone wearing a red shirt, this means the shirt is absorbing all the visible and some invisible spectral light except for the color red, which is emitted and what we see. Consequently, there seems to be a complementary relationship between what kinds of light is absorbed, and the kind of light that is naturally given off under ‘normal circumstances.’
Does this principle play a role in helping the practitioner decide which (color-light frequency or sound wave) is good for restoring a system’s normal function-processing-attunement-emission, that critical state of environmental equilibrium that benefits the whole?

Master Sha is wonderful teacher offers healing techniques to heal mind, body, emotions and spirit. He uses four power techniques to heal. One is sound healing. Which uses different chants, or mantras, or repetition of sounds to asstist in the healing blessings. His recent book “soul communicaiton” is great for learning ways to speak with the divine and other souls for guidance and help. I have some more speculation as to the sounds of planets and galaxies.
As we have already established the planet is turning on its axis at over 1000 mph and you could also do the mathematical calculations as to the circumference of the solar systems and the planets moving through space in their orbit.
We are assuming of course that the planet and solar system come back to the same place after a year. Which they don’t because the planet and solar system are subject to galactic drift and we are moving through space at x=mph/kph. We are all assuming the planets are moving through a medium that will vibrate as we pass through it.
Does it really matter in the scheme of things? I would be more concerned with the radiation from your cell phone than the cosmic flutter of us passing through space.
Why do we have to assume that the original cosmic sound is Yaway or Ohm. Why couldn’t the original cosmic sound have been created with a simple?

I propose some more speculation as to the relationship between sound and galactic bodies.
Some basic facts about earth taken from: http://geography.about.com/od/learnabouttheearth/a/earthfacts.htm
Earth’s Circumference at the Equator 24,901.55 miles (40,075.16 km)
Earth’s Circumference between the North and South Poles” 24,859.82 (40,008 km)
Earth’s diameter at the equator: 7926.8 miles (12756.1 km)
Earth’s diameter at the poles 7899.80 miles (12,713 km)
Average distance from the earth to the sun: 93,020,000 miles (149,669,18 km)
Average distance from the earth to the moon: 238,857 miles (384,403.1 km)
Given these verifiable facts we can speculate that the earth is turning on its axis once every 24 hours, or once a day.
Therefore we can show that the earth is turning on its axis at the speed of 1037.5645 Miles per hour (24,859.82 mph divided by 24 hours in one day) or 1667 kph, kilometers per hour (40,075.16 kph divided by 24 hours in one day).
Given these facts we can roughly speculate what sound is created by earth turning on its axis. However we also have to take into effect Galactic drift.
That is the effect of our solar system moving through space as it spins on its axis around the galactic core at the same time it is also moving though space as it is pulled towards what is known as the Virgo cluster of galaxies.
This also creates what is called a bow shock effect, similar to a supersonic jet going through the atmosphere.
Would this effect enhance or diminish the sound created by the earth’s rotational field? I don’t know. Speculatively I would think the sound would vary, Latitudinal and Longitudinally depending on what side of the earth you were on as the earth moves through space and would vary over a 24 hour period during rotation.
I will let some of you mathematicians do the math to figure out what is the base note of Earth based on verifiable information in zip code reality.

Jonathan thank you for sharing your wonderful research with the world! I purchased two of your CD’s within the last six months: “Frequencies,” and “Chakra Chants,” both of which I have had some wonderful transcendent experiences (so have my two dogs :-).
I have also just started reading your book “The Seven Secrets of Sound Healing.” Wonderful! I am a musician and it is a dream of mine to study sound and healing further and incorporate what I learn into my compositions.
As far as the relationship with sound and light and if they are one and the same, based on my experience during meditation or unexpected moments of stillness, many times I have been bathed in inner light and it has been accompanied with a powerful, expanding, uplifting sound. Also, there are times when I have been watching and listening to a live music performance and have seen color movement coming from the music. In both instances the music and the sound happen at the same time. However, I also hear inner sound without a light experience and I have also experienced inner light without sound. In all experiences there is this feeling of all things of this physical world falling away and being of no importance in an all encompassing moment of light and/or sound, peace and love.
again I would like to thank Jonathan for this wonderful forum to express our ideas. It is always easier to gather eggs when you have a basket:
Silly Me, I read your original message wrong, you meant the “law of Octaves”. I think the best example of this “Law of octaves” is the human body. We are a microcosm of what is happening on a larger scale. If it is happening out there it is happening in our own human bodies only on a smaller scale.
First I would like to know what are the parameters of reality that you would like to discuss. Do you want to keep the reality in the confines of a total 3ed dimensional reality? Or should we deal with the biofeedback loop of what we experience as human?
I have found that as you change your awareness, your perception of “reality” changes. The big reality doesn’t change. The thing that changes is the size of our feedback loop. The more we expand our awareness the more we expand our “bodies”.
There really is no limit as to how cosmically big we can become. As we become more expansive in our understanding; the energies of our feedback loop changes. Our human body becomes more receptive to different octaves of reality; consequently we become receptive to new sounds. That doesn’t mean they weren’t there, they were just dormant in our own encoded DNA. But that would get into Divine genetics and we are just talking about sound.

Again a great question, Jonathan. Another way to put it: Does the simple existence of an octave relationship mean anything more than a power of two? So, does a tuning fork pitched at 141 Hz — exactly 2^32 faster (32 octaves higher) than the period of Mercury’s orbit — have any significance other than the fact that it’s an octave relationship? Since you can’t “hear” Mercury’s orbit, it’s definitely not sound to sound…
I feel that it does. We perceive frequency as frequency across many different media — sound, light, rhythm, heart, moon, planet. We also perceive harmony of those frequencies across different media, based on simple ratios, the octave (2:1) being the simplest.
So I would argue that a tuning fork pitched at an octave relationship to the orbital frequency of a planet does have a special resonance, particularly for those with the planet in their astrological sign, just as an example.
I think that harmonic relationships create energetic resonance, even across multiple octaves and different media. I also believe that resonance can cause these types of harmonic relationships. Resonance is both a result and cause of harmony.
It sounds like fun. Exactly how low do you want to go? Are you talking about the energies that resonate at the root chakera area or the ones that resonate from the bottoms of the feet, or someplace in-between? Or something else altogether?
For example I know the sound of Tau resonates at many chakera levels simultaneously as does the sound Ya Way Hu. Remember as we have discussed before direction is relative. Are we going towards Heaven or is it coming towards us?

Consensus reality! That’s the key!
This discussion has definitely played with the multiverses of consciousness and existence and continues to be most intriguing. With regard to the subject of sound and light, I’d like to ask if everyone feels complete with their contributions to this topic? A related area that is equally intriguing also involves the “low of octaves”–that is the relationship between audible sound frequencies and other phenomenon. As different frequencies are either halved or doubled multiple times many suggest relationships with other physical or etheric substances from molecules to planets Some have suggested that the periodic table of elements can be directly related to sound. Other have suggested the orbital distances of the planets have a direct and specific relationship to audible sound. I’d like to open this aspect of sound for discussion on our healingsoundblog.
I was thinking tonight. Perhaps we are not in a void after all. Perhaps we all live in an infinitely dense solid of total consciousness and all these experiences we are having are totally relative to our point of view.
Our point of view seems to be that we are a being that is relatively solid in an endlessly expanding universe of stuff. Perhaps the movement of all things is caused by our mutually agreed upon belief system.
The relative movement of light and sound could possibly be moving to our own Divine whimsy.
When one wave in the ocean moves, the whole ocean moves, be it ever so small, it moves never the less because it is all connected.
Perhaps when the Divine moves, we all move with her and when we Love we become one with the Beloved.
We are not separate from these experiences of Light and Sound. We are them and they are us.

The comments the bloggers have made are wonderful, i.e., intelligent and thought-provoking. I sense there is a Bigger Picture (wisdom) evolving, consisting of various parts, of course, but seemingly inter- and intra-connecting. What keeps getting my attention is your title: “The Sound of Light.” Frankly, this says it ALL. When I consider that photons are light and that they are the essence of every atom and sub-atomic particle, I am reminded that atoms exist everywhere in the Cosmos . . . and thus, light is the essence of the Cosmos, including each human . . . who is a Universe. I am reminded again that we should all be knowledgeable of the language and basic principles and concepts of quantum physics, such as complementarity, the uncertainty principle, and Bohm’s holonomy, as well as the true meaning of E = mc(squared) and the latest quantum theory, superstring, which as you know, is based on musical harmonic ratios and proportions.
With regard to the latter two terms, is it any wonder that Pi-thagoras is said to have taught that (1) ALL is (2) number, that (2) number is (3) music, and thus, (1) is (3)? So, where is music NOT? Of course, this wisdom was not concocted by Pi-thagoras. Rather he learned it in Egypt, and the Egyptians, in turn, learned it from Zep Tepi—the “First Time.” What is happening today is that quantum physicists are confirming what the ancients already knew (and what humankind lost conscious of, in the intervening ages). Now and presently, general consciousness is rising more rapidly, connections are being made across disciples. I see this as the ascension toward 2012.

Yes, exactly, I never said seeking the Divine was outside our very own consicousness further and further away no matter what level of consciousness we are awakened to. But I was offering some insight into what occurs as the separation of a part of consciousness into the reflected spectrum of colored Light. The spiritual journey is about integrating into wholeness…but the journey of separation [involution] initially creates the mini-mind centers of the chakras. The journey to wholeness [evolution] is the integration of the physical, emotional and mental bodies of consciousness to awaken and align with the Divine Light of consciousness. The separation is the “Fall” from Divine Consciousness into the unconscious to then awaken fully in the Light.
The human body is complex in its workings and for the most part it functions from unconscious programming. How many of us are aware of how our internal organs function. We don’t consciously “think” them to do their function. It is programmed in the unconscious. Until that program is shifted, human beings will continue to “feel” far from their awakened Divine Self and project creation into the reflected spectrum. A fully awakened Ascended Master creates directly within the Living Light.
I have asked the question myself also why is every thing so complex, and the Masters always reply….Love is smiple but creation is complex. As in your words the Heart Chakra simply Loves but the Crown chakra is the access to Divine Mind and Divine Mind is the genius of creation. Pose the question to your Self and ask would you expect God consciousness to be simple like 1, 2, 3 building blocks of kindergarten or the complexity that is omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence? But what is the Brilliance of the Divine Light but that of the genius of God consciousness?
You don’t need to answer these questions to me…but just offer them for those who wish to ponder them. And I may not remember to check back on this board if I get busy. But thank you Jim for your reply and thoughtful insights.

I feel that idealistically the human body is evolving to the point that all the chakras act like Crown/Heart chakras. In other words each chakra becomes integrated into their own understanding of the Divine. Each chakra has the option of falling in Love with God in its own time and according to its own understanding of what Divinity is.
They have the option of understanding that Divinity is a state of mind, not a destination! Hopefully the chakras will integrate themselves into one being, that is filled with understanding, Love and Compassion.
Why should we keep trying to make things more and more complicated? I feel the human body is trying to integrate this spectralized, prismatic light and spectralized, prismatic sound of the Earth plane into the “direct light” as you call it.
I think that instead of creating a mini-mind, the Chakras are really trying to create a Mini-Me. Why should we keep looking for the Divine, further and further away?

Let me preface by saying I haven’t read all the blog postings here, but I just want to add some channeled info on this topic. The Ascended Masters teach that sound is synonomous to color. Let me also add that they refer to two different kinds of “light.” The light that we experience in the physical is reflected light broken prismatically into color through the varying frequencies of vibration. The Direct Light is the pure brilliant white Light of God Consciousness. When the Masters say sound and color are synonomous they are not, of course, referring to the Direct Light but to that of our experience in the physical realm of vibrations.
As far as color and sound being synonomous they say that refers to what our physical senses perceive and what our technical devices can measure. They remind us to keep in mind that all we experience is vibrating at frequencies including the machines we measure things with. That is to say the normal perception of color that is someone wearing a red shirt or a green shirt and the color of the chakras are not one and the same thing. The Kirlean photography that captures the colors of the chakras portrayed in the auric field is the science of “modularization.” In other words they are explaining that within the color red there are modular frequency levels. What the Masters refer to is that the color red vibrates at varying frequencies. The red vibration of a shirt is not the same vibration as the red of the base chakra. So, the increase in frequency will affect the varying levels of consciousness within a specific color in the spectrum. In terms of healing applications putting one’s attention on the chakra vibration of the color is to bring that chakra into “attunement” and balance and harmoney within the chakra rainbow system. Each chakra is a “mini-mind center” and therefore, the chakras can be “out of tune” with each other or in conflict with each other, and this creates imbalance in the overall well being of the physical, emotional and mental. Because the chakras are individuated mini-mind centers this reflects the “separation of the Pure Light” into sound and reflected light and electromagnetic frequencies. Tuning up the chakras with sound works in the way of clearing that module so to speak of static or conflicting frequencies of vibration. When chanting it clears the static of the ‘mini-mind’ centers of the chakras and brings consciousness to center within the balance of the sound of the chant. Or if using singing bowls for example also would give the chakras a balancing tune-up. Once the person, however, leaves the healing session, their mind centers can very well fall back into chaotic static, so, therefore, Mastery of each center is the goal.
Anyway, just some tidbits of offerings along the way to share of what the Ascended Masters teach ongoing.

This week, there has been a lot of hoopla around a predicted tangible, viewable 1st contact that did not happen. From the beginning of this drama, I felt this was all a matter of heart resonance..a connecting to and bringing to awareness the bigger drama that many are involved in and the joyful vow of service for the good of All that many of us are working in ways we do not totally understand! Those who carry an inner light of cosmic service have either been affirmed once again or made aware for the first time. That is my feeling and opinion. Has anyone else felt a higher light resonance bombarding earth since the full moon 10/14? I have felt the “presence” of something communicating to the heart of humanity and heard the words “LoveLight Evolution!” I would love to hear some responses…because I feel so often a change in the collective light mass or what the cosmos is sending our way..and some of you have the ability to talk the physics of what I feel and wonder if you base your research on personal feelings or is intellectual quest more the motivation?

I relate often through storytelling and share today a few ways that I have been inspired to experiment with c note crystal bowl as a healing instrument.
~ Caretaking a woman with MS, I brought the c bowl over as she was open to the experience. As the toning/bowling was happening….2 rooms away her elderly german shepard with paralyzed hind legs dragged himself (I start to cry again thinking of this) across the wooded floors following the sound to lay his head on my lap staring at me listening so peacefully….so tender….he passed over 2 days later…..the owners were in pain deciding whether or not to put their beloved pet down…and he passed over sweetly….sigh…
~ Autism. Met a woman with a severaly autistic son while playing at an art gallery opening. She invited me and the bowl to her house to experiment. Her son was quite severe though he had his repetitious games he played that brought him peace till he had an upset time..which was predictable according to mom. So, we had a tea party and waited, when he started to rock back and forth….I started to play (cnote) and after 10 minutes he stopped rocking back and forth and looked up – and blissed out totally…laughing and laughing. Mom was crying as her son was laughing. Well, we closed softly and he continued to be blissed. Upon speaking with her the next day, he had become very agitated later in the day…we do not know if the vibration and sound was responsible for the agitation that followed….mom grew scared, I understand, and we did not attempt another session….she has a fragile world she tends to….
It was my feeling though that her son wanted “more” of the resonance.
~ Wolf refuge healing of traumatized wolves. Again c note – earth mother…2 wolves in particular at a refuge I worked at had been abused and abandoned. They were very mistrusting of humans. Several times produced the same results….after 1/2 hour of playing the bowl…..their constant pacing stopped….both wolves jumped on top of their house rooftops.- hung their paws over the edge – closed their eyes and smiled (yes, really!) The refuge owners were stunned and overyoyed as they wre able to go into their pen and spend time without all the upset and frantic energy as long as I continued to play…awesome!!!! As soon as the playing stopped…the magic was over – the wolves jumped off their roof and once again re-entered their space of constant agitation and fear.
Such are some of the lovely times of this sound lightworker. …

Although the word ‘frequency’ is used for both sound and light, it
may be misleading our thinking. A pound of feathers is not related
to a pound of gold, nor is a cup of hot coffee related to a cup of
flour, even we though can stretch for some relationship if we try.
Furthermore, if one looks closely at light, as a wave, the
visualization of electric and magnetic components smoothly
propagating as orthogonal sine waves was made up years ago for
simplifying the equations. The word ‘magnetic’ comes from the
name of the place where lodestones were found in ancient Greece. It
has no intrinsic meaning, that is, no connection with anything
physical. Its continured us, as if it were a real ‘thing’ has, and still,
confuses the thinking of many. It’s time to discard the term
‘magnetism’ and replace with tone that describes the physical
structure of matter, as it is now thought to be. Lodestones were
formed by some electrons in iron ore spin-aligning with the great
spin of Earth.
It was found centuries later that electrons moving in a wire created
a spin force around the wire, also an effect like that observed in iron
ore that has been soaked in Earth’s spin force. This leads to the
inference that electrons moving in wires (current) may be spin-
aligned.
But electrons are names made up (also from Greek). No one has
ever seen an electron. They are NOT little spinning round balls with
a covering of electric charge. The property which was called
electricity was found to appear in discrete amounts. These ‘chunks’
were called ‘electrons’ and were assumed to be things, since things
or nouns fit in our grammar. Later when those ‘things’ called
electrons were found to behave in some experiments like waves it
baffled many people (and still does!) For how can a thing be a wave?
Physics is a net of words strung together following the rules of
grammar, which are akin to the rules of logic as people using the
western and European languages have developed them. The made
up rules of grammar think for most people unless they are very
careful and critics to think about what is structurally, rather than
grammatically.
So what is to be done to clarify thinking about the relationship, if
there is one, between sound and light?
What’s going on? Eyes are for seeing light, ears for sound, and some
cells of the body sense both energy impingements. People often say
sound waves are ‘like water waves’. But are they really? Or is this
just a visual picture? Are they sinusoidal in shape? Are light waves
sinusoidal or is that a handy model requiring less mental energy to
comprehend? What’s happening compared with our verbal models
of what’s happening?
I don’t have the tools or knowledge to find out.
Consider this from another angle. What about the psycho
physiological effects of sound versus light?
The patterns of light as in ‘artistic’ drawings, and the patterns of
sounds as in music. Or the learned meanings of sound as in words,
or light as in written words or symbols.
Humans have very sensitive receptors. We can almost hear
individual molecules and almost see individual wavetrains called
photons. Frank Brown, a biologist who helped found Woods Hole
Oceanographic Institute on Cape Cod, believed every cell of the
body could detect variations in Earth’s magnetic field.
And then there are the psychological meanings and interpretation…
One way out of this complex situation is to use applied kinesiology
or muscle testing to evaluate the effect on a human of a particular
sound or light pulse or musical pattern or design.
Over the years I have found this to be accurate and have recently
designed an electronic muscle tester which is slightly more accurate
and can be used for self testing (See http://www.buryl.com). So a
particular musical pattern that is healing, or a particular light color
or mixture of colors or designs, can be determined.
Theories are linguistic or mathematical mode.
It is always fun to have a lively discussion.
We all have our own points of view. And that is what they are (points) of view. We each see the Divine from our own (point) of creation. Some of us see it vertically and some see it horizontally. You can also see it both ways.
It is always fun to have a confrontation to a fixed belief system. Most realitys are created by a mutually agreed upon belief system anyway. The best way to get past it is to have an Ah Ha moment and say; yes I believed that way once and now that I have seen it from a different point of view, I choose to believe this way now.
Once you have seen things from another (point) of view you have the option of believing one way or another. You have a choice based on your personal experience. You can always go back to your old way of thinking. Or you can deny that you ever had the Aa Ha moment and go back to sleep and perhaps to dream.
Personally I enjoy playing with Godness. I try to see him/her in all forms of consciousness. I sort of look at this reality as the spectralization of consciousness of the Divine and we are playing in a Rainbow of Love. Jump in the water is fine.

Thanks for those wonderful thoughts, Jim. I realise that this discussion has moved us away from the original topic but your point of view is fascinating. Here I am saying that mathematics is a human-made construct, a way of describing what we observe, when in fact mathematics is God-made since we are God, or at least an aspect of God.
If humans ever come to truly understand the nature of the Universe my guess is we will no longer need the math. We will just see the Universe and know it. For example, we don’t need math to understand that a flower is beautiful. It just is.
